About the Business
McNeil Commercial was founded by Jamie McNeil a chartered surveyor who lives and works in Bath and commenced trading in the Autumn of 2009.
Prior to starting McNeil Commercial I spent a lot of time advising the UK's largest and most successful commercial property landlords while working for respected UK consultancy firms Workman LLP and GVA Grimley. I also did a 3 year stint working in Washington DC for the largest privately owned full service real estate company in the DC Metro area Donohoe Real Estate.
During this time I felt that many national retailers and other business tenants would have benefitted from cost effective professional property advice but were just not getting it either because they did not know where to go or because the costs were prohibitively expensive. I did not like what I saw with many businesses ending up paying too much and I wanted to help them. I decided that I would set up my own firm initially specialising in helping occupiers.
