Manor surveyors are an independent, chartered building surveying practice based in cambridgeshire with the capability and experience to cover all of London, Essex, Suffolk and the surrounding areas.

We undertake a wide range of property and construction related consultancy services including, building surveying, architectural design, project management, party wall surveying, CDM co-ordination and advice in respect of landlord and tenant issues.

We provide a high quality service with reports written in plain English providing common sense advice. We will ensure that you, as our client, have a full and thorough understanding of the technical issues highlighted.

We have a design team with particular expertise in refurbishment and extension work to existing buildings. We are able to produce schemes to extend or expand your existing property, or in any way refurbish, convert or improve your property.

We are able to provide a full design service including production of working drawings, submission for all consents and obtaining competitive tenders.

Building Surveys

Building Surveys

When you are buying a house, it is usually the biggest investment you are going to make. It makes sense to have it professionally appraised to make sure you are not buying any nasty surprises, or paying over the odds. Even if you have arranged for a Mortgage Valuation Report, it is still advisable to arrange for a survey to be carried out by your own surveyor.

A mortgage valuation is NOT a survey and they should not be relied on to confirm the property is in good order. A valuation is an inspection carried out on behalf of your mortgage lender to determine the amount and terms of a mortgage offer. Your mortgage lender will probably ask you to pay for the valuation and may not send you a copy of the report. The report is not detailed and the liability to you is not so clear. A survey provides an expert account of the property's condition and highlights any problems in clear and easy to understand language.
