Only members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) are entitled to call themselves Chartered Building Surveyors. Membership is a coveted achievement and a mark of professionalism and competence. The use of the description 'Surveyor' has not any standing of experience or guarantee of ability.
