About the Business
For some of us, who probably don't have very interesting lives, the following election is very exciting. The last two years has seen a general and steady improvement in the property market. There has been an increase in the number of transactions, values have lifted slowly and there is increased lending. After the next election either the Labour or Conservative Party will be in power, probably having their arms twisted by the SNP or the Lib Dems.
As is usually the case, whoever gets in, are unlikely to make a dramatic early difference but Labour's plans to intervene in the letting market could make a considerable difference in the long term.
