About the Business
I am a Chartered Building Surveyor in a small practice established about 40 years ago on the northern edge of the Lake District, specialising in pre-purchase building surveys, structural surveys/inspections and party wall matters. Prospective Clients are encouraged to discuss their particular requirements at length without any obligation whatsoever before confirming instructions. All surveys and inspections are undertaken personally and I emphasise the considerable benefit to Clients of further consultation following my attendance at the property and the preparation of my Report.
A long experience of local Contractors also enables me to specify and inspect remedial works in progress before issuing a Certificate of Structural Adequacy if required. I am also able to provide advice to building owners undertaking notifiable works under the Party Wall Act and to the adjoining owners of neighbouring property following initial consultation on site.
